We Are All Called in Many Ways

Because we have been baptized, we are called to be like Jesus, to know God more deeply through prayer, to be of service to others, and to accept God's infinite love. God is patiently and faithfully calling us to Himself all day long. You see, He calls us to all kinds of good things!

We Are Each Called to a Particular Lifestyle
A vocation is a call from God. You are called to be married; or to remain single; or to become a priest, brother, or sister. Probably the most mysterious call is God's invitation to be a priest, brother, or sister.

Maybe you are a young woman who wonders about becoming a religious sister. If you are thinking and praying about this possibility, you could use some Tools for Discernment. It might also be helpful to become acquainted with some of the Sisters' Journeys.

A Call Needs a Response
When God calls, you are free to respond, “Yes” or “No” or “Maybe.” If you have heard God in the silence of your heart to follow Him in religious life, you know that you need to find out more about this life and be able to Ask a Sister some of your many questions. In this way you are taking the first step in the Formation Stages.
